On Saturday, Oct. 23, Troop 50 got its hands dirty at First Presbyterian Church to support the church’s day of service. Scouts, leaders and parents armed themselves with rakes and shovels to help church volunteers spread mulch around trees and landscaped areas on the church grounds.
Troop 50 has met at First Presbyterian Church since the troop’s founding in 2012. Although the church is not our official charter organization (that would be the Auburn Rotary Club), the church has long supported Scouting and has provided troops with a meeting location for decades. Giving back by volunteering during church days of service is one of the ways the troop strives to express its appreciation to First Presbyterian for its enduring support.
